Is that mold inside my walls?!?

One of the problems with water damage is that if it is not corrected quickly and properly, secondary damage can occur. Secondary damage is when items that are within the affected area of a water damage, but they are not in direct contact with the water. This can occur when the humidity in the area is not reduced to an appropriate level. High humidity in a room can cause otherwise dry content to absorb that moisture (humidity) and can cause mold.
As can be seen in the picture, this drywall was within a water damage environment for quite a while. There was no exterior visible mold that could be seen. Based on the overall conditions within the affected area, we knew that mold was likely and we took steps to investigate.
